SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS!
Audrey Breen is the recipient of a $500 General Scholarship from the Kendall County Farm Bureau Foundation. Audrey plans to attend Dodge City Community College and study Agriculture. Audrey is the daughter of Shane Breen.
Jessica Carlson is the daughter of Gary and Jill Carlson of Plano. Jessica is the recipient of a $2000 Dobbins Family Scholarship. She will be attending the Illinois State University this fall majoring in Agriculture Education.
Zach Carlson is the recipient of a $500 General Scholarship from the Kendall County Farm Bureau Foundation. He is the son of Jason and Erica Carlson of Newark. Zach plans to attend Joliet Junior College majoring in Fire Science.
Hailee Dannenberg, daughter of Marc and Kelly Dannenberg, is the recipient of the $500 Koch Family Memorial Scholarship. Hailee is attending Joliet Junior College majoring in Animal Science and Nutrition.
Hailey Erickson is the recipient of a $500 General Scholarship from the Kendall County Farm Bureau Foundation. She is the daughter of Jason and Tina Erickson. Hailey plans to attend Aurora University majoring in Nursing.
Kjersten Friestad is the recipient of a $500 General Scholarship from the Kendall County Farm Bureau Foundation. Kjersten plans to attend Joliet Junior College and study Elementary Education. She is the daughter of Eric and Kari Friestad.
Lily Geltz is the recipient of a $500 General Scholarship from the Kendall County Farm Bureau Foundation. Lily plans to attend Eastern Michigan University and study Exercise Science. She is the daughter of Tim and Margaret Geltz
Jada Hamman of Newark has received the $1,000 Matlock Memorial Scholarship. Jada attends Oklahoma State University majoring in Agriculture Business with a minor in Agronomy. Jada is the daughter of Jennifer and Dave Hamman.
Jacob Heilemeier is the son of Andrew and Debra Heilemeier of Sandwhich. He is the recipient of a $2000 Dobbins Family Scholarship. Jacob will be attending the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point this fall majoring in Forestry with a minor in Soil Science.
Jolie Johnson is the recipient of the $500 Bazan Memorial Scholarship. Jolie is the daughter of Josh & Jenna Johnson and will be attending Lake Land College to study Ag Business.
Lydia Oker of Sandwich has been awarded a $1,000 Young Leaders Scholarship. Lydia attends Colorado State University and majors in Ag Business and Political Science. Lydia is the daughter of Rhonda and Thomas Oker.
Sydney Sleezer is the recipient of a $500 General Scholarship from the Kendall County Farm Bureau Foundation. Sydney plans to attend Aurora University to study Marketing. Sydney is the daughter of Seth & Connie Sleezer.
Ty Steffen is the son of Joe and Tracy Steffen of Newark. Ty is the recipient of a $2000 Dobbins Family Scholarship. He will be attending the Joliet Junior College this fall majoring in Horticulture.
Keith Stewart is the son of Robert and Sarah Stewart of Yorkville. Keith is the recipient of a $1000 Rock-I Scholarship. He is attending the University of Illinois majoring in Animal Science.
Peyton Weber is the son of Kent and Margi Weber of Seneca. Peyton is the recipient of a $2000 Dobbins Family Scholarship. He is attending Joliet Junior College majoring in Agricultural Engineering.
Carter Westphal is the son of Doug and Amy Westphal of Newark. Carter is the recipient of a $1000 Wykes Memorial Scholarship. He will be attending the Joliet Junior College this fall majoring in Ag Business.

Attention Scholarship Applicants! The deadline to return scholarship applications is March 15th. This year we are using an online form for submittal below you will find an Information Letter, a PDF Copy of the Application (to use as a guide before submitting your completed application), and a link to the Form to Submit your Application. The form will not save answers if closed without saving a draft. Because of this we suggest using the copy of the application below to formulate answers prior to submittal.

Scholarships Available
Kendall County Farm Bureau Foundation General Scholarships (Students/Residents of Kendall County are eligible) of up to $1,000 available to high school seniors, college students, or adult learners returning to school, whose self, parents or spouse are active members of the Kendall County Farm Bureau for a minimum of two years. Membership dues must be paid in full and members must be in good standing at the time of application. Applicants may pursue any field of study.
$2,000 Dobbin Family Scholarship (Students from Kendall & LaSalle Co’s are eligible) This scholarship is available to a high school senior, college student, or adult returning to school from LaSalle and Kendall Counties who is pursing higher education in an agriculture related job or career as described in the College of ACES (U of I) and SIU – Dept. of Ag bulletins. The applicant must be planning to enroll or be enrolled in an accredited 2 year or 4 year college or university.
* Due to current market conditions, this scholarship may be limited to one recipient from each county *
$1,000 Matlock Memorial Scholarship Given by the Matlock family, this scholarship is available to a high school senior, college student, or adult returning to school, whose self, parents or spouse are active members of the Kendall County Farm Bureau for at least the last two years, and a Kendall Co. 4-H member of 5 or more years, but not inclusive. Applicants may pursue an agriculture related, nursing or teacher preparation program.
$1,000 Rock-I-Scholarship Given by the J. George and Ann Smith family.
The Scholarship will be awarded to any individual that will be attending or is currently attending the University of Illinois, in any degree program with the College of Aces. The scholarship is open to any Kendall Co. 4-H member who has been a member for a minimum of 3 years AND/OR an FFA member representing chapters from Newark, Sandwich/Somonauk/Leland and Seneca.
No Farm Bureau membership is necessary to qualify for the scholarship.
Albert & Phyllis Wykes Memorial Scholarship Established by the family of Phyllis and Albert Wykes, this $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an individual that is studying education or agriculture at Joliet Jr. College or Waubonsee Community College. Must be a resident of Kendall County. No Farm Bureau membership is necessary to qualify for the scholarship. Based on need and academics.
Stephan P. Bazan Memorial Scholarship
The Bazan family has established this $500.00 scholarship in memory of their father Stephan Bazan. It will be awarded to students majoring in agriculture. Open to all students (high school seniors, adult and returning students) for any 2 or 4 year Agriculture program at any college in Illinois. No Farm Bureau membership, 4-H or FFA affiliation is required. Based on need and academics.
Kendall County Farm Bureau Young Leaders Scholarship
The KCFB Young Leaders group has established this $1,000 scholarship which will be awarded to an individual that is attending a 2 or 4 year college and studying in the field of Agriculture. The individual or family must be an active Kendall County Farm Bureau member for at least 2 years.
Howard & Helen Koch Memorial Scholarship
The Koch Family has established a $500.00 annual scholarship in memory of Doc Koch and his wife Helen. It will be awarded to a student majoring in animal husbandry or animal science, veterinary school or vet tech training at a 2 or 4 year college. No Farm Bureau membership is required and no county residency is required. The family does require that the student update the family on their progress in school.
